> Thanks for posting. I have a pile of books just waiting to move on to new readers, and this looks like an interesting way to spread the fun around.

Last night I registered a bunch of books at the site and made my first "wild release" today at the gym. Took a mystery novel, covered it with "Hi--I'm a free book!" stickers and tucked it into the magazine rack in the treadmill room. Since it's a holiday weekend, there weren't many people there; so will be interested to see if it is gone or not when I go back tommorrow or Tuesday.

Can't decide where to "release" the next one. Could do kind of a "themed" release, for instance one book has a picture of a cat on the cover, so maybe the pet food section of the grocery store?
Or one has the word "rose" in the title, so could go to the nursery and (heh) plant it there.

According to the site, only about 5-20% of released books are ever journaled by the person who finds it, so don't really expect much response. It's just for the fun of it.
