ok now is the real problem. u need to have given her a total of 10 coins. u are missing 1. checkout the following;
go swiming in ocean
one by soothsayer
one in rubble of farm house
one in rubble of bldg near volcano
one in tower (after reading book twice
one within `1 move of tower-search bushes
one in garden north of lion
one gambling with ogres
one by pixies
one after u dispatch sphinx

then u will be ready to visit the volcano top after u get something from soothsayer.
