2 most often missed:

castle garden- in orange flowers
enter the gardens north then east and where it tells u to rest go south.

by 1 of the two trees where u klled the sprite w/ sword

to get up stairs in the tower look at the picture several times and keep watching until it becomes a smear of color (abstract?) and touch it.
