Stuck in GOA Forest

I am playing the game for the second time around, but I can't get thru the portal in the forest. Am I missing anything?
Here's my inventory

Diving Mask
Pick
Life Preserver
Dead Fish

Broken Free Trial Sword of Failing
Ticket
Stone of Strengthening
Bucket

Magic Armor of Magic
Key of Questioning
Food Rations
Rope
