I heard "The Boys of Summer" exactly once - I remember liking it in a strange sort of way, though I remember nothing else about it.

I have a friend who is absolutely obsessed with eighties music - though neither the kind I like nor the kind you like. I'm talking about the eighties music done by teenage vocalists with a synthesizer and a rhythm machine - Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, and - God save us all - the New Kids On the Block. I think the closest descriptive I can find is "ghastly."
