Stuck between FOUR towns

Okay... this is confusing. My inventory:

15 Gold Coins
Guard's Sword
Tinderbox
Key of Opening
Map

19 Bronze Coins
Stone of Strengthening
Sticks
Clear Focus Stone

8 Red Gemstones
Food Rations
String
Hammer

2 Black Gemstones
Rope
Wire Clippers
Blanket

I can't seem to do anything. I've been into the shack, but I can't seem to find anything of importance there. Llagmilyn is useless, I can't get into the kitchen at all, and I keep hearing about a picture of some kind, but I can't seem to figure THAT out either.

AUGH!
