I can't imagine how tough it must be if you can't draw maps as you go -- as a matter of fact, Brackly Hall comes with its own map graphics, they are a bonus item you can find if you jump through a few hoops.

The first step to getting the maps is finding something which is in the northwest part of the maze, near the musician. After you get it, you'll need to take a trip to the village, and then back to talk to somebody in the house again.

Let us know what items you have already; you might already have it and just not know what to do with it yet.
