Um, just FYI, given the many different time zones and that pesky thing called Real Life, you can't always expect to get an answer within an hour... and posting multiple threads in caps doesn't speed up responses. I just got in and turned the computer on myself.

The sap thing just takes 4 or so moves. Go back and check the tree again if you've moved away from it for a while.

The float ring: Darn it, you didn't play FQ1 first... you probably should have. (It's not necessary, but a lot of the jokes will make sense if you've played the first FQ.) It lets you do EXACTLY what its name implies. You just need to make a leap of faith. :) And since you don't have the fishing net yet, you don't really need it...

Hm. You have 2 options after getting the sap:

1) Go find "man's best friend."
2) Check out the beach, since you've apparently done away with the flat cat. Have you examined a deserted island thoroughly?
