It's probably best to just draw a map as you go, adding new locations until you've gone in every direction possible. Just be aware that when you head one direction, you might turn a corner before arriving at the next location (so if you go north and the path turns east, draw that as a box with a line coming out the top, bending to the right, and connecting with the left side of another box). In each box write a keyword such as "fountain" that helps you remember how the boxes and locations are interrelated.
