Goodness, is there EVER a long string of things you need to do to get the last piece you need... you're eventually going to want to get that nail out of the grapefruit tree.
Fortunately, you do have the bucket, so that shortens the list of stuff to do considerably. For starters: dump out the sea water and do some furniture rearranging in the abandoned hut. You SHOULD find something that will be useful in satisfying a lonely animal's sweet tooth.
