1) I believe you have to purchase the bucket; whether or not you can depends on your inventory. And as much as I'm trying, I still haven't developed psychic powers yet, so I don't know what you've got... post it, please?
2) Killing the vampiress requires you to do a HECK of a lot of things to get the items you need. (You want to get that nail out of the tree eventually.) Post your inventory. Please.
