Well, what you need to do is go further west in the forest. I think it's west. I always confuse west and east in my head. To set up a chain of events that'll let you do that, you need another item from the shop. So go to all the different areas, and look around, and you'll eventually get something you can use in the shop. I'd be more specific, but, despite having done this an hour ago, I forget exactly what. ^^;
