You DO have to bang on the GIRL'S lock first. At least from what I remembered. Whoever told you the girl wasn't first was mistaken. And it's not how many times you bang it, it's the order. Or at least that's what someone said. When I played I just banged it like crazy with all three and it finally opened. Hope this helped.
