When you do find a place to stash Verna and Silus, you will need some way to get them there without anyone seeing them. (It's a big costume.) But you won't find it for a while, so just take the costume off somewhere and keep it in your inventory for now.
To get into your car, you'll need to play a game of soccer. But you'll need to get the right shoes, shorts, and shirt to join in. Go search the gymnasium to start with.
