I'm not exactly a hardware junkie, but I can honestly say that my skills and interest run much more to hardware than software these days. I put together computers from the motherboard up for fun :-)

I'm kind of in-between you and Sam, it seems. Sam is a programmer and you're a hardware tech, and I'm just a guy who dubs around a little bit with both, but couldn't really make a living doing either. That must be why I'm a system administrator. :-)
