Stuck in GOA!!

I have been playing GOA for hours and I have gotten nowhere! In other words, I'm completely stuck. I know that I need the Key of Opening to get into the shack, but I can't find the key! I also can't figure out how to get more bronze coins. Any help would be appreciated. Here's my inventory:
5 bronze coins
10 red gemstones
guard's sword
stone of strengthening
food rations
rope
tinderbox
sticks
wire clippers
portrait
clear focus stone
blanket
