Yeah, things like that. Or if he "seems distracted" or gets nervous. A new line of questioning opens up (you'll recognize it when you see an option that starts with "Say") when you've found 2 certain fear-inducing events, and 2 more events are necessary to finish that line of questioning to the end. I guess you can count the final thing that finishes him off as the fifth.
You'll know you've triggered one of these events when the description from "Examine the area" changes. He'll progress through five different stages, each time looking more uncomfortable.
If you start the interview over, you lose all the progress you made, so just keep at the interview until you succeed.
