Have you maxed out Vitality? Bet you have, if your party is at insanely high levels. If not, do that.
I think it's fairly random, all you have to do is have patience and keep trying. Level 10 is good as you can get many pools in one trip.
I'm surprised you haven't found the other Rogue item yet, I found it like second and I thought it was common. Oh well. And as for that Sorcerer item, believe me, you want it.
