I think you Californians have probably already noticed this, but many people in the east think of California as one place. Just one place. It's a big city with one airport surrounded by other places like San Francisco, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood. There is an ocean on one side and a mountain on the other. Everything is just a 20 minute drive from airport. They don't believe that it takes days to drive from one end of the state to the other and Los Angles to San Francisco is an all day trip. As soon as you cross into California from the east, you are almost to the beach.
