If by "angling" you mean "fishing" then yes, that is televised from time to time on certain channels (I'm sure there's also a cable channel completely devoted to it.)

And yes, it's boring. Bowling is boring too and they show *that* on TV. So is golf.

But I've never in my life seen a sport more devoid of excitement than soccer played at the international level. It's like everyone is so damned scared of screwing up they don't even TRY to win, they just play for a tie. It's horribly, horribly, horribly boring.
