And it drives me nuts that, at my age, I'm finding myself back in exactly the same situation I always hated at school, lurking around by myself on the fringes of everything. I thought I had come such a long way since then -- I'm not shy, and I have normal-to-good conversational ability. I guess I thought wrong.

I was just checking my emails when I came across this message from one of my friends (one year older than the person he was talking to), and it seems to be pretty relevant. Enjoy!

"Speaking to a year 11 on my bus, today, I learnt that I am a "dork"! Now, if you want to know how he reached this conclusion, here is a list of what makes me a "dork":

1. I don't spit at people
2. My clothes don't have holes in
3. I do not do impressions of 'Ali G', as I think he is a bit of an idiot
4. I don't hit people when they insult me
5. All my GCSEs were 'A's or 'A*'s (except a 'B' in Tech, but that's a joke so it doesn't count)
6. I laugh and smile to much, apparently
7. I don't burn things for the fun of it
8. I don't smoke, thinking it will make me look 'well 'ard!'
9. I say "mornin'" to people, as opposed to "I've had your mum -- she was crap"
10.I don't have nails sticking out of my school bag
So there you go! If you fit into any of these categories, then you're a "dork" too. Frankly, I prefer the above........."

Si-"Oh yes, someone very similar had a slagging match with me recently, and it was very similar. The most imaginative he came up with was 'gay' as well..."-gi
