Tight. Very tight.

I didn't know there were other Christian rap fans on the Forum. That's awesome. Sphere of Hip-Hop is so underground (well, all the *good* Christian music is, rap or not) that I didn't think anybody associated with RinkWorks would have ever heard of it. We're probably a minority around here, but I've got to mention that if you ever get a chance to see KJ-52 in concert DON'T PASS IT UP! He came here to Florida last November and put on an amazing show -- complete with breakdancing and a freestyle competition. He even sprayed some awesome graffiti upstairs in the coffeehouse (don't worry, they wanted him to).

My favorite hip-hop group is Ill Harmonics. I love the way they rap to acoustic guitar and it's a very mellow, almost jazzy sound. Relaxing, too. I used to listen to their "An Octave Above the Original" CD every day in my ceramics class in college because when you're as clumsy as me with clay, you need something to calm your nerves! :-) Of course, the lyrics are amazing too. I like Pigeon John since he's so different, but his songs are really stupid. How about John Reuben, Knowdaverbs, and MG! The Visionary? Yeah, there's a bunch of fruitcakes. :-)

My friend just gave me an old Cross Movement CD. It's pretty scratched up but I think I might be able to salvage a few tracks for MP3s. Hey, if you've got a broadband connection, you might want to check out my streaming "radio station" on MP3.com. Well, it's really more of a playlist of songs than a radio station, but it's got some of the best hip-hop on the Internet (my opinion). I'll stick a link below, if you're interested.

Well, that made my day. I was just talking to somebody yesterday about how tiny the Christian rap underground is. Heh. Small world.
