Is there any such thing as a *non* hot-looking woman in fantasy, though? There are no short, pudgy warrior chix0rs with a funny nose and unmanageable hair. There are no middle-aged warrior chiX0rs who decided to get back into the slaying industry after raising four kids and paying off the mortgage. On the other hand, there are no non-hot male warriors in fantasy either, so perhaps looking good in small triangular pieces of chainmail is just a prerequisite for the job.

Personally, however, I think Terry Pratchett's eighty-six-year-old Cohen the Barbarian, five feet tall in his surgical sandals and with a hemorrhoid ring tied to the saddle of his heroic steed, is one of the greatest fantasy characters of all time.
