Hmm, I thought I responded to this before, but I'm honestly not sure if I hit the right button. Anyways, the gist of that message was "it's an hour until my exam, haven't studied, yay I'm a slacker".
Then I went to the exam, and the people waiting outside were all talking about their summer plans. One girl mentioned that she wasn't coming back. She said "I realized that when I start studying two hours before the exam, my heart isn't in it, and I'm not putting in the effort it deserves", which threw me for a loop. I mean, I love the courses I'm taking in a sort of abstract sense, not the courses themselves as much as the readings and what I learn. And yet,I leave all my work until the last possible moment. Is this a sign that I am doing the wrong thing and should be taking time off? Will my heart even get into it any more if I do? Is the fact that I slack and procrastinate a bad thing? Honestly, I can't think of a program that I would rather be in, so is this a sign that I shouldn't be in university right now, or is it normal that I am not inspired to do work? It does cost a significant amount for me to be here, am I wasting it?
I'm really not sure about any of this, but I think that this is probably something I should figure out before I come back for another round...
