A Rambler! My grandpa had one like that when I was a kid; and my parents had the station-wagon version. The station wagon had an interesting push-button semi-automatic transmission that I've never seen anywhere else. Instead of shifting with a stick, you pushed the appropriate button, which lit up like a Christmas light.

Even when they were newer, they had their problems--the little ticky-tacky quality issues that seem to have plagued American cars. For instance, the doors, that, once locked, required a pair of pliers to unlock; or the rear door window that didn't quite roll down properly.
Not to mention that time on the road in Utah when something overheated and a nice Mormon family had to tow us over the hill to the repair shop...

Ramblers are a nice bit of nostalgia, but I have to join the Toyota cadre for reliable transportation.
