Well, in the beginning I didn't really think that I would enjoy having a LiveJournal all that much myself... but I ended up becoming quite addicted to it. I find that it's a rather good outlet for my thoughts -- thoughts that are sometimes of a very, well, verbose and trivial in nature that I don't quite feel would be worth making a post on a forum such as this. Also, by having my journal there, I can also look back to it from time to time and just see, well, how I was.

It's also somewhere that I can easily share my thoughts with my friends all at once. And, at the same time, I'm not really forcing anyone who doesn't really care about my life at all to read it either. Though anyone can read my LiveJournal, I don't give it out to everyone and I do think that only my friends read it anyway. Plus if there's anything that I really want to keep private I wouldn't put it there anyway.

Also, well, I do like to write. This is just one way that I can do that and share my thoughts with those whom I trust at the same time. Some of it is indeed for me... but a lot of it is actually just to give others the chance to know me better, if they choose to.

As for very private things, I never do write those online. There is nothing that I put into my LiveJournal that I wouldn't share with my most intimate friends... and a great deal that I would share only with them alone. It's true that I am rather open in my journal, but that's only because I choose to be a rather open person. And if I really feel like there's something that I don't want to tell anyone (which, at the moment, is really nothing; there is one person whom I can -- and do -- share everything with) and I think it might be worth keeping, I write it on whatever I can find and shove it somewhere (I think I have a little stack of papers like that). That happens very, very rarely though.

And as for if reading/writing public diaries is some strange form of voyeurism or narcissism or whatever it is that makes shows like Big Brother so popular..... well, I sure hope not! After all, I can not *stand* Big Brother (true, I only watched that once but that was once too many) and I certainly do write in a public diary. Or semi-public, in any case.

-Ka"If you want to look at my journal, go right ahead. But either you know how to find it already or you'll have to know how to contact me :-P"z!
