I don't really know what the record is, because there is no record about when people won the game, so if someone won and then continued playing, that number is lost. However, the lowest I can ascertain is Stephen, who won after 37226 turns. Dave managed it in 38992.

I should point out that those 200k+ moves include two completed games, plus a third that by all rights should have been completed ages ago. That means I'm averaging less than 70k per game, despite my perverse desire to get all the Items of Extra-Specialness before winning my third.

Every move is fun, though, and every battle is like a lottery ticket, with an Item of Sorcery as the ever-elusive jackpot.

Hmm... maybe I am addicted, after all...
