It seems that banshees are completely resistant to posion and cold while evil eyestalks are completely resistant to fire, poison, and cold. That's right. Banshees and Eyestalks are resistant to just aboot everything but swords. You'll have piles of fun on lower levels, where it's all Dragons and Giants and Wights, who are immune to lots of stuff. And don't even get me started on the Gelatinous Cubes.
