So, I'm on my way back and I see that hey, there's a room that looks like it goes into that big one! My party's not in its best shape, but they each have plenty of points left. It's only guarded by one monster. Easy, right? Boy, was I wrong. 4 enchantresses, 4 small dragons, and some other creatures, I can't remember which. Don't worry, this story does have a point, and here it is: a level 9 sorcerer can NOT beat 4 dragons! I found this out when my entire party got massacred and someone dragged my corpes back to town. Think I'll do some leveling up first before I go back there; maybe level, oh, I don't know, 15? > > > --mpython"and I still have 6 levels more to go!"girl > > > > My party is levels 11-13 and they can only go as far as level 5 since I can't get to six and I haven't even tried seven because I got massacured on level 8. But I think that if you level up where your party is about 9-10 and possibly an 11, you should be fine. Just don't be afraid to use those spell points up. > > > > ~x~Band-"Wish I could get pass stupid level 5"Aids~x~ > > > >The best way to beat them is with the sorcerers and wizards until they learn all their spells (Health or Quake)then change their class to the other spellcaster ie from wizard to sorcerer and then vice verca. but only one at a time. This way you've always got a level 17+ Sorcerer casting Chaos or Quake and kicking some serious monster butt..... P.S. Once your characters are powerful enough, they'll breeze through the next 3 levels -- 6 and 7 are easy. But always leave yourself enough s/p to cast home or have an item to use it.
I found out a little trick that I use if I have two spell casters who know FIREBURST and COLDBURST (any spell in which one is fire and one is cold works as long as they are about the same strength). This works well if you have 3 groups of monsters that are something like 6 zombies, 7 chimeras, and 2 assassins. I usually have my first two or three attack the smallest group. I have my wizard posion the 2nd smallest group and if I didn't use one of my top 3, (s)he will go attack that group just incase one of them doesn't die. And then I will have my sorcerer cast COLDBURST and my sorceress-turned-druid cast FIREBURST and that usually takes out them out.
