That really stinks. At least YOU got the interest on it, though.

What inspired that joke post was the fact that we unintentionally did just about that very thing last year. My work year was so irregular, and the RinkWorks advertising income so unpredictable, that I ended up overestimating by a crazy amount. So filing our taxes this year brought some financial relief for the moment, but of course it would have been much better to have had the money all along.

Tricky, the government. They make paying them money feel like a good thing. Except when you don't pay them enough initially, as was the case with you -- that doesn't feel good at all, and yet it's *better* in the long run.
