Not sure if anyone really cares, but I did some math.
If Sam is correct that any item in a Shop has a 1/1000 chance of being an Item of Specialness, 20 visits to the Shop will give you a 50% chance of seeing one such item.
If anyone really really cares how I calculated this, I can explain. I'm almost certain it's correct.
