Yes, Druids do self-heal, but mine only ever got up to one HP every 2-3 steps. I found items with more impressive healing power than that, and anyway if you have frequent battles you'll have to cast RESTORE or HEALTH, which doesn't depend on how many HP you have before casting. Also, you can't take all that many steps without running into a monster anyway, and you will deplete your precious levitation if you do.

I don't know if Druids get more SP than Wizards or Sorcerers. Of course, they do keep their IQ and Wisdom while learning both sets of spells, so you save the cost and inevitable delay of retraining.
