Well, ahmoacah said that she's not too interested in posting to the Forum about this sort of thing, so I guess that means that it is up to me.

With about three days of tentative planning and less than twenty-four hours of firm planning, ahmoacah was able to get a plane ticket to Calgary, and is spending a week at Casa del Monkey. She arrived last night while I was at my weekly Leadership Training course, and only took one wrong bus before arriving safely at my house. When I got home, we ended up hanging out and talking (mostly about Murkon's Refuge ;-) ) until about 12:30. Despite the relatively late hour, I still managed to get up early enough to get into work with enough time to post this message before I start.

For the record, I think the biggest surprise of the night was when she realized that my muscles are bigger and more manly than I describe them in chat. Would I lie to you? (™ Howard)

Over the next few days, I hope to get more sleep than I did last night. Outside of that, I think our plans are to play it by ear. ahmoacah has some very interesting ideas about vacations -- apparently, sleeping on the floor of a messy study and catching the wrong bus and wandering around a smoggy downtown on a Thursday are GOOD things. Personally, I would have gone for a beach or something. Of course, it is a balmy 1ºC (~33ºF) here at the moment, and to me, it feels like I AM on a beach. I slept with my bedroom window open all night last night!

Anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say about meeting ahmoacah for now. Maybe more when I wake up a bit.
