Well, here, I'll try to make it clearer... Okay, imagine a place where nobody has to go outside to relieve themselves... A place where there's more grass than snow, and more snow than maple syrup... A place where everybody doesn't suck. It seems foreign and strange, I bet, but we Americans are completely used to it. So your Aurora Borealis thing is probably a lot like this.

Actually, the Aurora Borealis is an insanely neat thing. I've never seen it in person, but I hope to some day. It's even cooler if you know that it's all caused by charged particles throwing themselves a break-neck speeds in to the atmosphere. I've heard that the southern borealis thing is nearly identical to the northern one on any given day. That's pretty cool too.
