See, I think what we've really got here is a case of familiarity breeding contempt. I generally agree with all of BG's points, but for my own part, I lost interest with the forum about three months after it came out and have only sporadically visited since then. So to see it "degrade" as it has hasn't bothered me as much as it has others. BG is one of many people who have pretty much always been regular forum readers and posters. She's seen pretty much everything that has ever come through here, and now she's dissatisfied with the quality of the posts.

You, on the other hand, are a reletive newbie (by the way, I do recognize you, and for whatever it's worth to you, there isn't a check mark in the "total l4m3r" column next to your name in my mental Rinkie database--of course, considering that I spend most of my time hiding in private rooms in chat and not actually interacting with people I don't already know, that could concieveably be just because I haven't interacted with you enough yet ;-) and claim to actually like the forum. Could it be because you've seen less things, and so when a thread that has been "done to death" in BG's eyes, you haven't seen it before and it excites and interests you? Or is it because you're really a total l4m3r in disguise and I just haven't noticed yet?

I don't know. Frankly, I don't much care. Thanks to TV I have the attention span of a hyperactive hummingbird on crack, so the forum didn't hold my attention that long anyway. There's way too many long posts. Like this one. I'd better stop now, TNG is on.
