Secret area in GOA

Ok, I have been reading past posts several times and been doing tons and tons of thinking. I think I know the area of where to go to the secret area. But I just have a few questions.

(1) Do the clicks have to be one right after another? Basically, I accidently a different selection, did that screw me up?

(2)I know that you have to be pretty far in the game to get the secret area. About how far is that? I think that I'm pretty far but I may not be far enough.

(3)I have two option that I can't decide between. And there are others but I narrowed them down. Any advice about choosing just one? And about how many times do I have to click? Maybe I haven't clicked enough times.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
