Italian Sodas are weird little things - here, they're made from carbonated water, a squirt or two of flavored syrup, ice, and (for an Italian Cream Soda) half-and-half. Sounds like a rather icky combination, but it's actually really good. :9

The taste depends on what flavored syrup you use... the coffee shop on campus where I get mine has about 50 different syrups, so I could theoretically be trying new ones for a long time.
