I say feelings can't replace rational thought. Your feelings are dependent on your knowledge and beliefs, so if there is an impurity in either, your feelings will most likely lead you astray. Inconsistent principles lead to inconsistent actions, and feelings aren't a valid way of obtaining knowledge.
So doing something only on the basis that it feels right is risky business.
