I got an E-Mail from a friend with a stupid techie story. I went to Web Crawler and started looking for funny computer stories. A link to computer stupidities came back and I was hooked. I played vouyer for a while and just watched the action on the forum before finally getting the nerve to post my first post which was Sept 21, 1999 and was about the suction cup prize for the R. I. N. K. W. O. R. K. S. contest.
I stayed and come back as often as I can because of the class of people who frequent here. They are serious about life, but not too serious about themselves. They all have a sense of humor, but are very serious when conditions call for it. They will stand up for what they believe, but never suppress the beliefs of others. They don't mock others but, instead, fight to preserve the right for them to also stand up for what *they* believe. It is this that attracted me to RinkWorks. No where else on the web have I found a place that accepted me so completely, so easily. No where else have I felt that I could be both stupidly silly, and be extremely serious without compromise.
As I said in a previous post, I hate that I have been away for so long, and that it may be a while before I return again, but I will always be a serious Rinkie, and will always come back from time to time to see what I'm missing out on.
