In December of 2000, my then-boyfriend had a quote from Things People Said in his e-mail signature line. It cracked me up and I asked him where he got it. He sent me here. I was on winter break at the time, so I read as much of RinkWorks as I could and continued reading when school started back up.

Then the RinkAwards brought Chat to the fore. I read The Great Ginger Ale Tragedy and absolutely collapsed laughing. So then I read every single archive. Finally, I entered RinkChat on 29 March 2001, two days before the RinkAwards, received a warm welcome, and have stuck around ever since. This place has spoiled me. :)
