I talked about this in Chat, but I might as well bring it up here, too.

Naming cars is not all that unusual. After all, the United States names each of its warships that set out to sea, yes?

Granted, the names aren't things like Smooshie and Wiggums and Bouncer, but still, there is a precident.

As for names of cars that I have heard of, they are as follows, starting with my own:

'89 Ford Tempo - "Tempo" (Creative, huh?)
'91 Ford Aerostar - "Babemobile"
'95 Pontiac Grand Am - "Jean Claude Grand Am" (Grishny came up with that one)

All the rest of these were other's cars:

'78 Volkwagen Bus - "Sweet Pickles"
This one got its name because it looked exactly like the green bus used in the phonics learning kit of the same name. My dad had even put Rust-Oleum stuff on the thing and intended to get it repainted to hide the grey spots. But of course, that never happened during the remaining life of the bus. Thus, it was THE Sweet Pickles bus.

'84 Ford Escort - "Andrew"
'87 Ford Escort - "Timothy"
'91 Ford Escort - "Pheobe"
'88 Dodge Van - "Sherman"

There also is "Bluey" which is a foreign car of my friends (unsure of the make or year) and the ill-fated "Howie Honda" of the Grishnys', may he rust in peace.
