You know that pair of old guys that are in all the Muppet movies, making snide jokes whenever they appear that have nothing to do with the actual plot? I think it's their mindset that makes some of us mock popular culture.

*WARNING: The following comment is from someone whose exposure to Stephen King rests entirely on his screenplays and adaptations of books as movies for TV or screen*

King appears to have a well-developed talent for crafting stories. I've really enjoyed every one of his works i've been exposed to. But the endings i've seen all turn out anti-climactic at best. He seems a wonderful writer, if the last chapters were just left off and the stories all ended open-ended.

That would at least make the TV movies better for me.
