The irony here is that I got off the ship feeling fine after a much needed rest, then wore myself out by driving eight or nine hundred miles.

> We spent a week on a large, beautiful, fancy, haunted cruise ship. Actually, only the plumbing was haunted. I got up one night and stumbled into the bathroom to ... er ... get a drink of water. I didn't turn on the lights so as not to awaken anyone. While I was steping up* into the bathroom, I noticed a strange blue-gray glow on the floor. Then as I stood there, one foot in the hall and one in the bathroom, in the dark, with one hand on the light switch, I noticed that there was also a glow in(are your ready for this?). So help me there was a blue-gray glow in the toilet, right down in the bottom of the bowl. I squeezed into the tiny space and turned on the light. Everything looked perfectly normal.

So the next night I gave my eyes time to adjust to the darkness and eased quietly into the bathroom and there it was. The floor was actually glowing in two spots about the size of a dinner plate and a saucer. But the brighter glow was still in the toilet. It was there every night and I still have no valid explanation.

A possible explanation:
There was a locked panel just outside our cabin door. There must be a light in there that illuminates the space behind the toilet in our cabin. The fixture is mounted on the wall instead of the floor. If the drain was made of plastic pipe, and that pipe is transluscent, then light might be visible in the bottom of the bowl.
