I usually hear a different version of this song. What would you do if you won the lottery?

The first thing I would do is give money to my mother and stepfather, paying them back for all their help when I was going through college. I know that they don't expect the money they spent on my education and formative years to ever be paid back. It's just parenting. I would like to be able to surprise them.

Similarly, I'd also try to give some money to help my grandmother. She says she's doing fine with what she has, but I know that things can be much better for her.

Then to my wife's family, I'd get the house in Colorado finished. The in-laws have property there, just outside of San Luis. They've taken the original four-room adobe building and have built their house with what little time and money they could afford. They're still building it.

One of the sister-in-law's husbands is starting his own business -- advertising sign printing. He's getting by right now, but in order to take off, he needs a rather expensive piece of machinery that he's having trouble affording. He'd get that.

A good friend of mine wants to start a business -- her life-long dream -- but needs a good chunk of start-up capital. She's getting discouraged and doesn't think that she'll ever get it going. I'd be there to invest in her.

Then I'd play.
