I'm with Faux Pas on this one. Yes, it's certainly a large surprise when you find out the gender of a baby, but I don't see how it would be any less of a surprise to find out now or later. That way you can get on with such things as decorating without doing the whole baby room in a neutral color and getting two of everything at baby showers. There are gift receipts, so you can return things if it turns out that you need a pink outfit instead of a blue one, but what new mother wants to go stand in return lines with a brand-new baby?
