That makes sense. I wonder now if I am rare in using "The 1900's" to mean 1900-1999. In my parlance, "The 1800's" and "The nineteenth century" are synonymous. Does anyone else use the terms like this, or am I finally tapping into the reason why these concepts used to confuse me so much?
