More unfinished business

I went back to the mines, and I looked around. However, it won'r let me do anything with the lake other then search and find nothing, and I can't do anything with the large pilar in the room where the bats and beetles are fighting. I got three sticks of dynamite from Carson, but I don't know if I'm spose to use that on the pillar, or the coke machne, or what. It didn't give me the option.

Well, I returned the lady's mirror to her, and I got an earring. I gave it to Harris, and he gave me a business card, which I showed to Carson, and got some Dynamite for my Perolytium. Was that I was sposed to do? Or is there something else?
