They're giving away that much time now? I
remember when I tried out AOL, it was only 20
hours free. Of course, be it 20 or 1,000 hours,
the catch is the same: you have to use all that
time up in the first month. The whole "so many
hours free" thing seems quite pointless now,
when they charge you a flat fee per month for
unlimited access. I remember when I first
signed up with Prodigy, all they offered was
$9.95 a month for five hours of access;
additional hours were $2.95 per, or you could
pay something like $29.95 per month for
twenty hours. To put it it bluntly: it STUNK. Of
course, it wasn't real hard to rack up five hours
on my 2400 bps modem back then...
