Stephen, you realize with every negative word you say about that book, you make it more likely Dave will never go back and read the thing, and therefore will never write a condensation for it.

I try my best to work around him. Dave, you see, isn't like me. He believes in reading books and watching movies for *fun*, rather than as a means to provide web site content. Strange, I know. But I've learned to live with that and learned that when I want a condensation of a particular book but don't want to do it myself, I do not say bad things about it until after he's done.
