Aren't those signs just intolerable? I try not to look at them. Horrible gramattical gaffes (and that's pretty big as these things go) on public signs really bother me for some reason.

Friend of mine (who has an MS in physics, teaches at the local college, and is working on his Ph.D)missed an exit on the highway once. So he backed up. The police didn't cotton to that too much, and gave him a stern warning. Next time he missed an exit, he did *not* back up.

He simply drove over the embankment instead. :-}
